Bridal Makeup and Hair
Bridal and occasion makeup and hair is my speciality, and is the very reason I became a makeup artist! Being part of someone’s special day, or helping them get ready for a special event is my favourite part of the job, and I take it seriously – from helping to calm last minute nerves, to providing the final touch ups as you get ready to leave for your special day. I am based near Glasgow, but I am happy to travel to your preferred location on the morning of your wedding.
My aim is to provide you with a first-class makeup experience. I will work with you to create a look that suits your personal style and enhances your natural beauty. Beauty, to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin, and I am a true believer that makeup should be worn to enhance, not mask. For such a special event you want to feel like the best version of yourself, and my job is to help you achieve that!
If you would like to book wedding makeup/hair services, please fill in the contact form and make sure to let me know your wedding date/time, the location where you will be getting ready and the number in your bridal party requiring makeup. Please be advised that bridal trials are mandatory for wedding dates from 2023, and will be included in any quotes issued.
Your trial
A trial is an opportunity for us to meet to discuss what you like and don’t like and how you’d like to look and feel on your special day. We will try some ideas out and consider your dress, the “theme” and colour of the day, your style, and most importantly what will make you feel happiest and your most confident. The trial also gives us the opportunity to discuss any sensitivities or allergies you might have. I also like to have a chat with my brides about their skincare habits and routine, to see if there is anything I can suggest to help you achieve the best “blank canvas” on which to work. I’m all about giving the most comprehensive and personalised service I can.
In order for you to feel relaxed and confident, your trial should ideally take place at least 8-10 weeks before your wedding day. This will allow us to make sure that you are happy with your makeup and gives you time to discuss any questions you may have. Trials can last 90 mins or more, and can also be arranged for other members of your bridal party if required.
On the day
I will arrive at your preferred location ready to start at an agreed time, and will stay with you and your bridal party until you are ready to leave, providing any final touches (or tissues!) you might need.
If required, I can also be on hand after the ceremony for touch ups, or if you’d like to update your makeup for your evening reception – perhaps a smokier eye, or a vampy bold lip to amp up your look for night-time.
Based on your individual requirements, a personal quote will be provided. Travel costs may apply but they will be agreed prior to booking confirmation and detailed in your quote. A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date, which will be redeemable against the final amount.
